A Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ72 bridge camera, fitted with a Baader solar filter, was mounted on a Merlin AZ mount, set to f/5.9, ISO 100, 1/1600s exposure and maximum zoom of 60x. 30 images were captured of the Sun, 3 at a time in burst mode, and the best 27 were stacked in Registax 5, running in Wine under a Fedora 20 OS.
