Dear Friends,
You might remember the January 2014 as a month of Active Sun with the biggest sunspot AR 11944 of current solar cycle. This sunspot show us many magnificent shows on earth & in space.Approximately whole month was full of solar activities.
This AR 11944 returns after a two-week journey around the far side of the sun. According to tradition, sunspots that circle around the far side of the sun are re-numbered when they return. The new designation of AR11944 is AR11967. AR11967 is big enough to engulf many earth at at time.AR1967 has a 'delta-class' magnetic field that harbors energy for strong eruptions. As it is an earth facing spot ,any changes in the spot will directly effect the earth.let us wait to see the nature's play.
I took various pictures of our old guest with new mask i.e. AR 11967 today with help of Sony Handy Cam from the Gurudev Observatory today evening.Hope you will enjoy the nature, machine & man.
with best regards,
DDPurohit
