After a round trip around the Sun this giant sunspot (now called AR1967) has evolved into a familiar shape of an insect or a crustacean without appendages. I captured this monster on 3rd Feb ’14. Equipment – Orion 6” Newt, Baader 2.5” off-axis filter, EQ3, Canon 600D, 3x barlow, Stacked 20% best frames from approx. 2800, final editing in gimp Place – Pune, India
