Have you noticed? Venus is pulling back towards the Sun. In 2.5 weeks it'll have already set if you try to look for it at the same time as when I took the photo tonight, and that statement assumes a flat horizon. Inferior conjunction occurs rather later on Oct 24th. On Nov 9th in dawn skies Venus and Spica revisit each other at an even closer 1°10'. Two days earlier an extremely thin waning crescent Moon visits the pair as well.
