Details:
Captured today just before the G3 peak, still at G2 level but still at local night, or better dawn. Here in Europe 45N, not so close to the N geomag pole as America, G2 means aurora toward North just in photography. The aurora is violet, as common at dawn/dusk, due to UV irradiation of N2 which creates N2+.
