Details:
I imaged the sunspot area AR4167 from my Manorville, NY Observatory on 08-03-25. Currently, sunspot region AR4167 has a "beta-gamma" magnetic complexity. While some sunspots can be massive, the current information doesn't specify its exact size in comparison to Earth. Some sunspots can be as large as 15 Earths across, according to Quartz and Space. However, the average sunspot is roughly the same size as Earth. Based on the information available as of August 3, 2025, there's no definite answer regarding the exact number of Earths that could fit into sunspot AR4167. My imaging configuration was a Celestron EdgeHD 14" telescope / AstroSolar PHOTOFILM ND= 3.8 " at the full 14" aperture. Please Note: Not for visual viewing with an eyepiece because you would be risking your eyesight! The image camera was the Apollo-M MINI USB3.0 Mono Camera (IMX429) with a Baader 7.5nm Solar Continuum Filter 1.25" on a Baader 2x Barlow. Kind Regards To ALL 🙂
