Details:
I imaged the Chinese Space Station (Tiangong) with the Shenzhou-19 Spaceship now docked at a Max pass of 68° on 11-18-24 at 6:02 PM EST from my Manorville NY Observatory. The seeing was poor and I had to image into a thin layer of clouds. I hope one day soon I can get good seeing conditions at the same time I record a high max pass. There are currently three people on China's Tiangong space station: Cai Xuzhe: The mission commander Song Lingdong: A first-time space traveler Wang Haoze: A first-time space traveler and the third Chinese woman to participate in a crewed mission Shenzhou-19 manned spaceship with supplies docking with the front port of the space station's core module Tianhe on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024, China launches Shenzhou-19; new crew arrives at the space station in a sign of growing influence in space The team of two men and one woman will replace the astronauts who have lived on the Tiangong space station for the last six months, conducting a variety of experiments and maintaining the structure. As the country seeks to expand its exploration of outer space in competition with the United States, even as it looks for cooperation from other nations. My imaging configuration was an EdgeHD 11 ′′ telescope with an IR610 1.25" filter on a ZWOASI174mm camera imaged at 8-bit on a 2.5 x Tele Vue Barlow Lens in a MoonLite focuser on an Orion Atlas EQ-G modified mount. Kind Regards To ALL :-)
