What a treat in Gettysburg, PA! Here are two photos and a short video taken at the peak of the aurora at 1:00 AM EDT on 10/8. I used my All Sky camera (thanks to thomasjacquin.com !). Camera is ZWO AST120MC-S with All Sky program run by Raspberry Pi 3.
The peak lasted for about 20 minutes. There were less bright displays at about 10:20 PM earlier in the evening on 10/7 and at about 4:40 AM later that morning on 10/8. Those two may have been photographic only and not visible to the naked eye.
