Details:
after two nights of getting nothing with the camera, last night was the charm, and we captured a red aurora glowing to the north! With the automatic timer, I let the camera run all night and fount that it peaked at 10:30pm, and finally faded out at around 1am. It was faintly visible as a dull red glow over the whole northern sky last night, and the camera captured its full extent. This is a 3 minute exposure with an 8mm f/3.5 sigma fish eye lens at ISO 800.
