Details:
Clear skies in the east allowed for a successful astro session. I was able to photograph the comet tail about 18 minutes before comet rise (comet altitude was -3°37'). This was also the beginning of astronomical twilight. As the comet rose higher the sky brightened reducing the visible length of the tail.

Using an 85mm lens (24° x 16° field of view), I estimated the tail was 10° to 12° in length. I had hopes that the tail would be bright enough to be reflected in the lake and was successful.

Finally, the waning crescent Moon rose (1.2% illuminated) pairing with the comet in the eastern sky.
