Details:
Can you see a G1 storm with Kp5 levels from West Virginia? Yes… with a camera. Shot with a Z6II from the mostly pristine skies of Spruce Knob, WV, I caught defuse purple aurora above some sky glow and a little light pollution. Saturation added to bring it out. Was very faint on the sensor, but DSLR advances are challenging what we know about aurora visibility.
