Details:
The expected Kp5 aurora on July 29/30 produced a good show covering all of the northern half of the sky and up to the zenith at times. The motion was slow and graceful with no colours visible to the eye that I could see. But the camera picked up subtle blues, magentas, reds and some yellows as well. And of course green. I was on the lookout for STEVE, but he did not appear during my watch! This was from home in southern Alberta at latitude 51° N from about 11:30 pm to 1:00 am MDT.
