Details:
I took a panorama shot with my mobile device of the approaching thunderstorm. I saw the lightning but didn't know if it was captured. I was surprised when I saw the result: it wasn't lightning that I captured but a straight pillar. I don't know what it is. Possibly heated water vapor after the lightning? Or the formation of the lightning channel before the flash?
