Details:
Ceres and Venus had a close conjunction on the morning of January 16, 2024, with the western US and my telescope in Tucson well-placed. Conjunctions this close between Solar System bodies is only an occasional event. Captured in morning twilight with a Takahashi 120 mm telescope and Nikon Z7II . An image of Venus that is not over-exposed shown in inset in lower panel.
