Details:
What a difference a day makes and location. Taken near Curt Gowdy State Park (between Cheyenne and Laramie, Wyoming).
Bortle 2 to 3 skies were dark enough to easily reveal the Milky Way to my south.
Perseids appeared to peak around 1AM (8/13) although most member were short and faint. Earlier, after dusk ended, members were longer and brighter with smoke trains with magnitude 0 or brighter.
This year's Meteor Shower was average despite no moonlight interference. Dark skies were a must to fully appreciate this annual event.
Sky dome light at left is from Ft Collins, Colorado (some 60 miles away).
Nikkor 35mm f/1.4 lens @ f/2.8, 13s with Nikon d7100.
