Details:
‘Solstice Tree’ Sunset. Every year in June there is a fortnight around the Winter Solstice during which the Sun when viewed from my residence in Mutare may be seen to set behind a strange old weather-beaten Msasa tree at the foot of the southern slope of Transmitter Hill. I call this the ‘Solstice Tree’. On Saturday 10th June, there was a particularly colourful sunset during which I captured a video and still images showing this happening. Cameras: Tripod-mounted and hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
