Details:
Venus – Beehive Cluster ( M44 ) Since the Beehive open cluster is located close to the celestial equator, from our perspective planets sometimes pass the edge of this open cluster, sometimes right through it. Although this is a visual approximation, M 44 was approximately 600 light-years (5.7 quadrillion km.) away from us at the time the photo was taken, with Venus 96 million km away at the time. The luminosity of the M44 open cluster is 3.7, and Venus's magnitude is -4.5. Although the difference in brightness between the two celestial bodies is about 7 units numerically, it is clearly seen how much of this difference is in the photo. The brightness of the light is also calculated logarithmically, just like earthquake intensity scaling. Home-Made newtonian telescope ( 150 mm f/4.5, Home-Made mount, Canon EOS 6D Full Spectrum modified, ISO 400, 15 x 20 sec exposure
