It's always a bit disconcerting to look out your window and see a wall of smoke from a wildfire that wasn't there a few hours earlier. This is smoke from the Dodge Springs fire near the Utah/Nevada state line, caused by lightning. Fortunately it's in an isolated area and is expected to be under control by Monday.

Notice the blue strip along the top edge of the smoke cloud; in binoculars it was quite vivid.
