Details:
Using a Rokinon 8mm f/2.8 "fisheye" lens on my Sony Alpha 6000 DSLR camera, I was able to capture the Aurora early this morning from the Bitterroot Valley floor just east of the City of Hamilton in western Montana.
The best part of the show from here was around 12:30am MDT with lots of nice colors evident in the images, although naked eye views consisted mainly of a faint glow on the northern horizon.
All exposures were around 15 seconds duration at ISO 1250. Attached are a couple of full 180 degree view images along with a couple of horizontal crops from the full view images.
In the images the Bitterroot Mountain range is on the left with the Sapphire Mountains on the right. The Milky Way arches upward just to the right of center. It was worth staying up past my normal bed time for this one!
