Details:
After another week and a half of overcast skies, torrential rain and localized flooding, we have once again been blessed with clear skies. Tonight's sunset was not as spectacular as those of a couple of weeks ago, although a few faint pink crepuscular rays were briefly visible. It seems that the volcanic aerosols from the Hunga Tonga volcano are currently floating in the stratosphere above Africa and South America, as seen in the recent spectacular photos posted by Peter Lowenstein in Zimbabwe and Odiscipulo in Brazil. Hopefully in another week or two they will make their way around the globe to Australia once again! Thank you to Noelene Lowndes on the Gold Coast and Peter Lowenstein for mentioning my photos in their posts, and to Frank Nieuwenhuijs in The Netherlands for emailing me directly. I will provide my email address in case anyone wishes to contact me directly, as we are currently unable to comment on other posts: tara@tarawilliamsmusic.net.au
