Details:
First chance to see Comet C/2021 A1 Leonard in the evening sky after Sunset. Two images of the comet in the Western sky at 3d and 2d altitude in Scutum and about 4.3 magnitude. Taken with Sony A7s3, 200mm f/4 lens, iso 400 and 800, single 2s exposures on tripod and fov cropped. Note also the famous Marfa aerial blimp in the lower left of the frames. SkyXPro chart shows the larger fov with the Sun about 13.5d below the horizon in the Great Black Horse area. The comet will move fast into SGR and then pass below Venus over the next few days.
