Details:
Clear night skies have been very rare where I live in northern Wyoming USA, thanks to climate change adding so much more base humidity to soften the view, and an immense amount of wildfire smoke coming in from the West Coast for days at a time. I finally got an acceptable atmosphere last night. My annual Milky Way star clouds over the fjord of Shoshone Canyon above Buffalo Bill Reservoir near Cody Wyoming series was a moderate success. Cameo appearance by bright planet Jupiter at upper left, and next brightest object to its right is Saturn. This is a straight in-camera single exposure. Colors are from the mix of ambient sodium vapor parking lot lights illuminating the cliffs of Cedar Mountain , while various kinds of passing vehicle headlights and red taillights hit the foreground white limestone...halogen yellow, xenon white, LED blue. Nikon D5300 dslr with Tokina ATX 11-16mm wide angle zoom at eq. focal length of 16mm . I used an ISO of 3200 and an exposure of 30 seconds wide open at f/2.8 with camera set to Auto color balance. Original JPG image was processed in GraphicConverter for slight tone correction , and noise reduction using Nik D-Fine plug in.
