Details:
Ejecta... or more poetically, the splatter of matter that cratering scatters. Some of the biggest splashes are found in the region surrounding the beautiful crater Copernicus. The third quarter moon is high and well placed for observing in the early morning hours of late summer/early fall. The next opportunity for this phase will be a day or two on either side of September 28.
