Details:
1/ A sequence of the Moon and Venus setting together. The Moon was 1.1 days old and 1.4% illuminated. Time was 1/2 hour after sunset.

2/ Timestamped version. The arrow associates which Venus goes with which Moon. Note the bottom arrow (with Venus setting) is distinguishably longer than the top arrow, so in just the half hour of the sequence the Moon has drawn noticeably away from Venus.

3/ A Moon closeup shows several craters.

Photo data:
Panasonic GX8, Lumix 100-300mm lens @ 300mm, photo tripod
f/5.6, 1/40-1.6 sec, ISO 200-400 (no, I didn't hand-calculate these numbers to match the increasing darkness, I put the camera into Program mode)
