Details:
Early in the evening, the rain and storms went away, leaving very clear but super-humid air. I already had the gear in the car, so I drove nearly 2 hours to the Pottawatomie State Fishing Lake No. 1, a few miles north of Westmoreland, Kansas. These three images were made with a 24 mm NIKKOR lens @ f/3.4 on a Canon Rebel XTi body, exposures ranging from 191 to 375 seconds at ISO 200. Focus shift to the Cattail sedges after stopping down to f/11 and flash illuminated, all in one exposure. The hooting of owls and call of bullfrogs was unceasing!
