Details:
As it grew fully dark, Comet NEOWISE emerged from the starry sky in all its glory. It is quite easy to see naked eye from a dark sky site. Ten degrees of dust tail were visible, but I could not make out the ion tail naked eye. These two exposures are with 50 and 85 mm NIKKOR lenses @ f/3.4 and f/2.8 respectively, on the Canon Rebel XTi body; exposures range from 390 to 651 seconds at ISO's 200 and 400. Focus and aperture shift to f/11 during exposure to flash illuminate the Cattail sedges.
