Details:
Twelve minutes after sunset I began this series of four images taken at
8:06, 8:07, 8:08 and 8:12 pm, CDT. The first three were with a 16mm fisheye-NIKKOR, and the last one with a 24mm NIKKOR, all using a Canon Rebel XTi.
Tonight was the whole enchilada: a 50 plus degree radius dome of orange just after sunset, followed by pink, then purplish-pink with crepuscular rays and shadows, then an orange twilight arch to top it off.
It is unclear whether the source of aerosols is still from Raikoke, or the recent eruption of Ulawun.
