Details:
On 4th July the Sun, young Crescent Moon, Mercury and Mars all set close to what I call the Solstice Tree situated near the foot of the western slope of Transmitter Hill. The thin crescent became visible about half-an-hour after sunset to be followed by the appearance of Mercury and Mars in fading twilight thirty minutes later. As darkness approached the triangular configuration of Moon, Mercury and Mars was photographed close to the horizon with Mars about to disappear. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in night scenery mode.
