Details:
On 4th July the Sun, young Crescent Moon, Mercury and Mars all set close to what I call the Solstice Tree situated near the foot of the western slope of Transmitter Hill. The still thin crescent first appeared quite high in changing coloured sky about half-an-hour after sunset allowing some good close-up pictures to be taken. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset mode with up to x60 zoom magnification.
