Details:
It´s amazing! In the last few weeks, Jupiter´s famous Great Red Spot and its surroundings are showing a fast and dramatical methamorphosis. In particular, the GRS seems to be shrinking. Last night I estimated it a (horizontal) diameter of only 14.000 kilometers. Maybe some less. What will happen with the giant storm? Who knows.
I took this image of the giant planet and GRS with my 12" Schimidt-Cassegrain telescope and a ZWO ASI camera.
