Details:
A very brief clear spell in the Pacific Northwest. Even though Comet 46p reached perihelion a few days ago its still fairly bright even with the illumination of the moon. The comet is moving quite rapidly so I could only stack 3 minutes of images to freeze the comet against the background stars without doing more extensive processing. I estimate a magnitude of +4.9 for the comet based on prior images of the comet and other stars in the image. Additional details are noted on each slide
