Details:
Loved the classic look of a brass tube long focal length terrestrial refractor, but they cost several hundred dollars. Decided to use a $8 surplus achromat L14810 from Surplus shed (52mm x 600 mm) and mount it in 2" PVC tube with fittings and a 14mm terrestrial eyepiece (43X) from a $6.86 Ozark Trail 8x21 binocular from WalMart. If interested, will post more details. Images through iOptron smartphone adapter and with iPhone 5c and M Cam app.
