It's been a long cold wet , in fact miserable summer , so its nice to see the aurora make an appearance so early in the season . Last night was 16th of August 2018. Its not the earliest viewing in past years but exiting never the less . It was our our first viewing of the new season and it sent shivers down my spine ,just like the first time that i ever seen the aurora . After studying spaceweather.com it looked likely that an aurora storm could be arriving. And just around local midnight we caught a glimpse of what looked like the magical and beautiful aurora borealis . Soon after you could see her dancing over head, with a glimpse of red even with the sunset still visible and a considerable amount of daylight remaining. We managed to capture the following image...I can't wait to see what this season has to offer. www.chasethelighttours.co.uk
