The Equinox Sun had just set as my attention was suddenly drawn to a patch of lingering sunlight shedding on a cloud band floating over the westerly horizon and making it brightly blaze. To my surprise, in a matter of seconds, it also managed to stretch along a filament that radiated from an interesting Cirrus fibratus formation, also lending it an orange glow. Equinox had occurred only 50 minutes earlier and what a fascinating treat I had just received from the setting Equinox Sun: one of its last light rays stretching along a cloud filament! The animation and photos give a rough idea of what that nice Equinox sunset was like. A Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX300 camera was used for the shots, taken between 17:51 and 17:59 UTC-3h.
