Details:
On 23 June the now very thin (1% of full) waning crescent Moon was seen rising in the early dawn sky over Mozambique from the Prince of Wales View near Mutare (first two pictures). As the dawn brightened the thin crescent was photographed against several different colors of sky before disappearing into the glare of the approaching sunrise (third picture and animation). The camera used was a tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 camera in night scenery and then sunset modes with up to x60 zoom magnification.
