Details:
Twenty minutes after the thin rising crescent Moon had disappeared into the approaching sunrise glow (see previous post), the rising sun appeared over some thin layers of early morning low cloud behind the border town of Machipanda in Mozambique. This beautiful spectacle (first picture and mosaic) was photographed from the Prince of Wales View near Mutare which overlooks the Forbes Border Post and town of Machipanda. It took the sun just three minutes to clear the cloud and then shine so brightly that it became difficult to look at and photograph despite low haze (following two images). The camera used was a tripod mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset mode with up to x60 zoom magnification.
