Details:
Following the appearance of Venus shining brightly in the emerging dawn sky a bright colored Belt of Venus over Earth Shadow was observed to develop and then recede towards the opposite horizon (first three photographs). This display, which lasted for about twenty minutes, was followed by the first fiery rays from the rising sun being reflected from rooftops in and mountains behind the City of Mutare (last image). In this locale bright Belts of Venus tend to either precede (evenings) or follow (mornings) the formation of strongly colored twilight arches on the opposite horizons. The photographs were taken using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 camera in sunset scene mode.
