Details:
This object caught my eye as I was taking pictures during the Earth Day solar storm. I was out taking pictures for about 4 hours in this spot and gathered about 1000 consecutive 4-5 second exposures with about 2-3 seconds between shots. There was a higher than normal meteor rate, but every one I saw was crossing the sky in a generally south - north direction. This object was about 10 times brighter than the other meteor streaks I saw that night, and then when I got home I saw the object had stayed in frame for 30+ seconds before and after the intitial "impact" with the upper atmoshpere on a north - south orbit.
