Details:
Last night of the 1st seasons autumn aurora tour for Lights over Lapland and what an epic night. We had cloudy skies and fog in Sweden so did a road trip to the Narvik. As soon as we got to the fjord there was the green lady in the sky and then she promptly exploded and filled the sky with dancing greens for an hour. When the aurora calmed down I did some milky way shots (with light aurora) and a group photo. I've been using the new Canon 5D mark 4 and I think its a great camera for aurora photography. The 2 pictures with a lot of aurora used iso 6400 allowing me to use 0.8 of second shutter speed and therefore capturing the movement making the picture more like the eye saw the aurora.
It's worth noting aurora activity was KP2 showing that this far north you can still see very strong auroras even when solar activity is low.
