Details:
This evening the color of the sun changed from yellow to magenta as it set through thin cloud and smoke haze (composite image). All three sunspots AR2598, 2599 and 2600 were clearly visible when it was free from cloud (second image). The last two general views, in which the Sun was yellow while still fairly high and then magenta when lower down, also show the spring-time display of purple flowers on the Jacaranda trees which adorn the streets of many towns in this part of the world. The photographs were taken using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 camera in sunset scenery mode.
