Details:
The photos show the young moon (2.5 day old) and bright Venus 3.9° apart at dusk. The star seen above the moon in the third image is Gamma Virginis. Positioned 7° below Venus (and no longer prominent) is Jupiter as its distance from the Sun is only 17°. Mercury (m=+1.9), currently 28 times dimmer than Jupiter, has already become a challenging target and it can only be glimpsed in the last photo as a pale dot next to the building. Details: Canon PowerShot SX60 HS camera, manual mode, 5x(F5.0,ISO 800-1600,1/3-1 s); 21:00-21:20 UT.
