Details:
This photo shows the scale of how close the Venus/Jupiter conjunction was. Observed in Tucson the separation was much less than a Moon diameter. This is a composite photo, the Venus/Jupiter conjunction photographed in the Aug 27 twilight and the Moon photographed in the predawn Aug 28 using the same Nikon D7100 camera, F4 300 mm lens with a 1.7X teleconverter. An event not to be repeated until 2065.
