Details:
The accompanying time-lapse animation shows the movements of Jupiter, Mercury and Venus (and the waxing Moon when it was also present) in the sky above Christmas Pass, Mutare from 01-27 August 2016. It records the transition from an initial almost vertical grand alignment and progresses through several different triangular configurations of the three planets to end with the just completed very close conjunction of Jupiter and Venus. The pictures were taken at about the same time on 21 different evenings using a tripod mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ 60 camera and manual exposures of 1 second each at up to ISO 1600.
