Details:
This evening the sky to the west of Mutare was very clear and there was a beautiful display of the close conjunction of Jupiter and Venus which included beta Virginis. The first image taken half an hour after sunset shows the first appearance of Mercury, Jupiter and Venus with the latter very close together in a colorful sunset sky. In the telephoto view taken a few minutes later, the star beta Virginis is also visible. The third picture shows all four objects shining brightly as darkness begins to fall. The pictures were taken using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 compact camera in sunset scenery mode with up to x60 zoom magnification.
