Mercury Transit May 9 2016 - A 15 1/2" x 19" Pastel Sketch from experience of observing live though solar telescopes - White Light filter on right slightly obscured by clouds, midway transit; h-alpha filter on left at end of transit - third contact egress at 11:37 AM PDT, May 9th 2016- Portland Oregon.
*My past Mercury Transit large pastel sketch was 10 years ago, and thanks to NASA Physicist Tony Phillips, as he published it to the Spaceweather front page on November 8 2006 for several days, as I suggested an art contest, to sketch the upcoming Mercury Transit on November 8th, 2006, which Tony Phillips offered to readers, then it was later in Astronomy Picture of the Day on November 17 2006. >
