Details:
While trying to resolve albedo features on Mars, the moon rose in a similar shade of red. The deep color emphasized beautifully the great size of Oceanus Procellarum.
The first image is a cropping of the second and original image (f7.1, 1/60sec, ISO-400, 700mm-35equiv). The third image shows three representations of the moon (visible light, topography and GRAIL gravity gradients). This image was added because it suggests a non-impact origin to the Ocean of Storms.
