Details:
I went out to the Renfrew, Ontario area last night, at one of my favourite spots for observing the sky. I enjoyed a stunning pre-dawn session of observing Mars, Saturn and Jupiter, as well as the meteors from Comet Halley. Here's a bright, colourful Eta Aquariid that my camera captured near the Milky Way just as morning dawn was starting, using a 35mm wide angle lens. This was a pleasant surprise, as I do not normally see many Eta Aquariids from 45 degrees latitude, let alone photograph them! It was great to relax in fresh air to the sound of the owls, Spring peepers and loons. This was just what I needed after a busy week!
