Details:
very chilly (55deg)morning with 10mph west wind, no moon, and no Aquarids! The rocket lit up the horizon and went unusually straight up with intense orange flame. It then turned east to disappear straight east to get it in a geosynchronous orbit over the Pacific. This pic only shows the end of the first stage burn. The second stage was barely visible and the boost-back burns of the 1st stage were not visible. Canon 5; 24mm; f/6.7;ISO800;116 seconds
