Details:
This was somewhat of an unexpected treat. Took its time to get going and it did eventually but in fits and starts, there was no real rhythm to it. The green glow maintained a steady movement low on the horizon and visibly moved from right to left with strangely orange hues at its base which I've not seen before. The auroras of the last 2 events have been very pastel in colour. This event commence around 20:00hrs through to 00:10 hrs. It peaked at 22.36 then again at 23:30hrs. Cloud then hampered any further viewing. The KP sat at max.4.0 with a wind speed at 502 and a Bz of 3.3 to a max. of 6.2. Camera Canon 40D ISO 1600 F4.0 30 seconds. Good viewing !
