Details:
The three illustrations show the difference in size between the Micro and Super Moons observed from Mutare, Zimbabwe, at 6.26 LT on 05 March and 8.35 LT on 29 August 2015 respectively. In the first the two appear side by side, in the second the Micro has been overlaid on the Super and in the third the two alternate in sequence in an animated gif. The Moon on both occasions was photographed from exactly the same location within three hours after sunset using a tripod mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ 60 compact camera in Night Scenery mode and x60 zoom. As the orientation of the camera was horizontal both times, the pictures show how the Moon and its features have rotated with respect to the photographer's viewpoint in the six month period from early March to late August. A similar change is shown in the comparison between the Super Moon on 07 September 2014 and the Mini Moon on 04 March 2015 which was uploaded to the Realtime Space Weather Photo Gallery then, upload id = 109592.
